What should I do if I cannot connect the VR headset to the tablet?

It is important that the tablet and the VR headset can communicate directly with each other over the WiFi network.

The security setting on the WiFi is one of the main reasons when the connection fails.

Some steps to check this are:

  • Check that your VR headset is on the same network as your tablet.
  • Make sure you are not on a so-called WiFi GUEST network, as these block direct communication between two devices.
  • Once you put on the headset and you are in the blue environment of Corpus VR, then by looking back you can see more technical information such as the IP address. This IP address should be in the same range as that of your tablet.
  • In the router's settings, there should be access on network port 25001. Normally this port is open unless a network administrator has specifically blocked it.

If you still don't get a connection after following these steps contact your network administrator.

What could also hinder the connection between the VR headset and the tablet are the following 2 points:

  1. If the versions on the VR headset and Tablet do not match.
    1. Check that Corpus VR Pro and Personal have been updated on all devices!
    2. Look on the Tablet at the login screen (before you log in) and click on "about Corpus VR".
    3. Look on the VR headset/smartphone VR Glasses by launching the Corpus VR Pro and Personal app and turning 180 degrees (looking backwards).
  2. If the VR headset and the tablet unknowingly keep switching WiFi network by themselves.
    1. Go to your WiFi stettings on your Android tablet by pressing the WiFi icon a little longer. Click on the networks you do not want to use. And then click on Forget. Or click in Advanced on Do not connect automatically.
    2. On the iPad, go to WiFi/WLAN via the settings button and do the same.
    3. In the VR headset, you must also disable the other WiFi networks. In the VR headset, you can do this by selecting the WiFi icon in the home menu and click on the WiFi networks and forget or disconnect.
