It is important that the tablet and the vr glasses can communicate directly with each other over the WiFi network.
The security setting on the WiFi is one of the main reasons the connection cannot succeed.
Some steps to check for this are:
- Check that your VR headset is on the same network as your tablet.
- Make sure you are not on a so-called WiFi GUEST network, as they block direct communication between two devices.
- Once you put on the glasses and you are in the blue environment of Corpus VR, then by looking back you can see more technical information such as the IP address. This IP address should be in the same range as that of your tablet.
- In the router's settings, there should be access on network port 25001. Normally this port is open unless a network administrator has specifically blocked it.
If you still don't get a connection after following these steps contact your network administrator.
What could also hinder the connection between the VR headset and the tablet are the following 2 points:
- If the versions on the VR headset and Tablet do not match each other.
- Check that Corpus VR Pro and Personal has been updated on all devices!
- To do this, look on the Tablet at the login screen ( that is, before you log in) of Corpus VR at the bottom right and click on "about Corpus VR"
- Look on the VR headset/smartphone VR Glasses by launching the Corpus VR Pro and Personal app and turning 180 degrees (looking backwards).
- If the VR headset and tablet unknowingly keep switching WiFi networks themselves.
- Go to your WiFi stettings on your Android tablet by pressing the WiFi icon a little longer. And click there the WiFi networks you do not want to use. And then click on Forget. Or click on 'Do not connect automatically' in Advanced.
- On the iPad, to do this, go to WiFi/WLAN via the settings button and do the same thing there.
- In the VR headset, you also need to disconnect the other WiFi networks. In the VR headset this can be done by selecting the wifi icon in the 'home menu' and also there click on the WiFi networks and forget / forget, or click disconnect.
