In some situations, it can happen that your headset is exhibiting drift while rotating to the left or right. This is related to a poor magnetometer calibration of the device. The earth's magnetic field, but also the magnetic properties of the building and the room you are in, and the objects that surround you, can all affect the results of the magnetometer. To solve any drift issue you might have you can perform an easy magnetometer calibration. This will make sure that the magnetometer is giving you the best results possible.
To perform the magnetometer calibration follow these steps.
- Go to the settings menu in the headset. This is found in the bottom navigation bar.
- Select the 'General' submenu.
- Now scroll down in the list until you find the option 'magnetometer calibration'
- Activate the calibration and then start rotating your headset until it is complete (check this by putting on the headset).
If you notice the image flipping away while using the Corpus VR application's Game Worlds. You can correct this immediately by clicking on the settings button in the top right of the dashboard and then correct the client's posture. And then clicking on calibrate VR glasses and then update. Then the image will be right in front of the client again.
In addition, it is advisable to perform the following tips.
Because metal can affect the magnetic field of the magnetometer of the Pico VR glasses, you can take extra account of the following elements.
- Sit at least 1 meter away from a radiator.
- If you use Corpus VR (sitting) on your treatment couch change to a wooden stool or chair.
That's it. Now you should be good to go and have a great, drift free, experience again!
